8 Doors Distillery in John O'Groats was established in 2022 by husband and wife Derek and Kerry Campbell, and is the most northerly distillery on the UK mainland.  The distillery is producing the first Single Malt Scotch Whisky in that area in 185 years.  

Whilst the team wait for their own Single malt to mature, they have released a blended whisky liqueur product called "Five Ways". "Five Ways" is a smooth liqueur made with blended scotch whisky, hints of ginger, honey, orange and spices. Hand crafted and bottled in John O'Groats it's striking bottle is inspired by the famous John O'Groats sign post, and the name reflects the 'Five Ways' indicated on that sign post.

Alongside this, they have also brought out a range of independent small batch and single cask whisky bottlings. These are released under the brand name of 'Seven Sons'. Their signature Blend is also part of the 'Seven Sons' range.

Why 8 Doors Distillery? - The name is inspired by the legend surrounding Jan De Groot - the man that John O’Groats takes it’s name from. In particular the house he built on the site which is a short distance from our distillery.  The 8 Doors led to an 8 sided table to ensure Jan and his seven sons were all equal when seated round the table for family gatherings!
